Description

Beautiful French vintage bookplates featuring historic ballooning.

The first plate is the Coronation Balloon of Napoleon Bonaparte. Commissioned by the famous French aeronaut André-Jacques Garnerin, the balloon was launched from the square in front of Notre Dame Cathedral on the evening of December 16, 1804.

Condition
