A charming pair of vintage framed prints after works by British artist John Frederick Lloyd Strevens (1902–1990), depicting elegantly dressed women with children in romantic Parisian-style settings.
Dating from around the 1960s/70s, the prints have a softly textured finish which gives them the appearance of painted canvas. Beautiful muted shades of coral, powder blue, green and cream are complemented by their original-style narrow wooden frames with green and gilt detailing.
Particularly attractive displayed together, these have a wonderfully nostalgic mid-century interpretation of Belle Époque Paris and would work beautifully in a bedroom, dressing room or as part of a traditional gallery wall.
Both prints bear the Strevens signature within the image.
