Description

Lovely vintage ceramic plate celebrating the opening of the St Lawrence Seaway in Canada and the United States in 1959.

The Seaway connects the Atlantic Ocean and the Great Lakes through a series of locks. It was officially opened by Queen Elizabeth II and President Eisenhower.

The plate was made by Elijah Cotton Ltd as part of their Lord Nelson Ware collection.

Condition
