Description

Fabulous antique manger chog formerly used in a stable to weight a horse's halter rope.

The halter rope passed down from the horse's head, through a ring on the manger, and tied directly through the center hole of the chog. When the horse raised or lowered its head, the heavy log acted as a counterweight to pull up any slack rope, preventing the horse from getting its legs tangled or tripping over the line.

Condition
